Terms of Service

Effective: May 25, 2026 · CrimePulse, Inc. · Last updated: May 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the CrimePulse platform — including the website at crimepulse.app, our iOS and Android applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CrimePulse, Inc. (“CrimePulse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. We do not knowingly permit persons under 18 to create accounts.

Law enforcement accounts additionally require verified agency credentials. Organizations using the Service represent that the individual accepting these Terms has authority to bind the organization.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at .

You may not create accounts on behalf of another person without their permission, operate accounts for automated data collection purposes, or use the Service to impersonate any person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe, Inc. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds. Refund requests within 7 days of initial purchase will be honored in full. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion. Contact with refund requests.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge. Accounts with a payment failure may have features restricted until the balance is resolved.

5. Not a replacement for emergency services

CrimePulse is a community intelligence and coordination tool. It is not a substitute for emergency services.

If you or others face imminent danger, call 911 immediately. Do not wait to submit a CrimePulse report in an emergency. CrimePulse is designed to complement law enforcement response — it does not replace it.

We make no guarantee that law enforcement partners will respond to incidents reported on the platform, or that response times will meet any particular standard.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Submit false, fabricated, or knowingly inaccurate incident reports
  • Harass, target, or discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics
  • Conduct surveillance outside the scope of your own property or explicit community consent
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform in bulk
  • Use the platform to facilitate criminal activity of any kind
  • Upload evidence that has been altered, tampered with, or fabricated
  • Share law enforcement-tier information with unauthorized parties

CrimePulse is a trust-sensitive platform. Misuse undermines the safety of the communities it serves. Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.

7. No ethnic profiling

The platform contains no ethnic or racial descriptor fields. You agree not to attempt to encode ethnic or racial profiling into any incident report, description, or other submission — including through coded language, patterns, or circumvention of our design.

Violations of this provision are grounds for immediate account termination.

8. Camera footage and clip sharing

Camera footage you share through the platform is shared at your sole discretion. By approving a clip request, you represent that you have the right to share that footage and that doing so complies with applicable laws, including wiretapping, consent, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

CrimePulse does not access, store, or view your footage without your explicit approval of a specific clip request. You retain ownership of all footage you share.

9. Evidence vault and chain of custody

Evidence uploaded to the platform is SHA-256 hashed on upload and logged with a chain-of-custody record. You represent that evidence you upload is authentic, unaltered, and that you have the right to upload it.

Uploading fabricated, altered, or stolen evidence is a violation of these Terms and may constitute a crime. CrimePulse may cooperate with law enforcement investigations into evidence tampering.

10. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform (incident reports, photographs, video clips, statements). By submitting content, you grant CrimePulse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service to you and other authorized users in your community.

You may delete your content at any time through your account settings, subject to legal holds and chain-of-custody obligations.

11. Intellectual property

The CrimePulse name, Sentinel logo mark, CrimePulse Score™, and all platform software, design, and documentation are the intellectual property of CrimePulse, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without written permission.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INCIDENTS REPORTED ON THE PLATFORM WILL RECEIVE ANY PARTICULAR RESPONSE FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT OR THE COMMUNITY.

CRIMEPULSE SCORE™ VALUES ARE ESTIMATES BASED ON AVAILABLE SIGNALS AND ARE NOT GUARANTEES OF SAFETY OR RISK. DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON CRIMEPULSE DATA FOR PERSONAL SAFETY DECISIONS.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRIMEPULSE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CRIMEPULSE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability — in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrimePulse, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Informal resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at and give us 30 days to attempt an informal resolution.

Arbitration. Any dispute not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitration. This arbitration provision does not apply to claims for injunctive relief related to intellectual property.

You and CrimePulse agree that any arbitration will be conducted in your jurisdiction or by videoconference, and that the AAA's consumer filing fees will apply.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

For non-material changes (corrections, clarifications), we will update the “Last updated” date above.

17. Termination

You may close your account at any time through account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Sections 11–15 survive termination.

18. SMS and text message communications

By providing your mobile phone number and enabling SMS alerts in your account settings, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from CrimePulse at that number. These messages are transactional security alerts triggered by incident activity in your monitored area. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service.

Opt-out. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any CrimePulse text message, or by disabling SMS alerts in your account settings. After opting out via STOP reply, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages from CrimePulse until you re-enable SMS alerts.

Message and data rates. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. CrimePulse does not charge separately for SMS delivery.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on incident activity in your configured area. By enabling SMS alerts you acknowledge that you may receive multiple messages during periods of elevated incident activity.

Compliance. Our SMS program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable federal and state laws governing text message communications. If you believe you have received a text message from us in error, contact immediately.
